Bathing with the Demon Lord

There is a large communal bath in the girls’ dormitory on the first floor at the end of of a long passageway.

The imperial Estic magic school was formerly an all-girls school, so the girls bath a quite large. To that degree, cleaning is also hard.

Tonight, as well, the communal bath seems lively with lots of girls.

「Speaking of which, did you hear? About Tesperk-san.」 (???)

「Tesperk-senpai, the upperclassman with the weightless room…? I’ve heard that she’s an eccentric, natural airhead」 (???)

「I heard! During summoning class, it seems that she ended up summoning the Demon Lord.」 (???)

「Eeh, isn’t that dangerous? Has the Demon Lord been sent back? Is Tesperk-san alive? Heck, aren’t we in danger? That’s scary.」 (???)

「Maybe, the reason for today’s temporary closure was that? Eeh?」 (???)

「The teachers were also making a ruckus—」 (???)

That’s right. After I summoned Mao-chan, all of the students that had been there went back to the dorms, but the entire school had been temporarily closed. Was it really that serious of an event?

With the upper and lower classmen, the surprise temporary closure was a hot topic.

「I’m glad that our breaks are increasing–」 (???)

「No, it’s not! Do you understand what it means that the Demon Lord is at our school? There’s a chance we could’ve died, you know?」 (???)

「If handled poorly, all of Estic could’ve been blown away, how terrifying.」 (???)

「For the time being, school will open again as usual from tomorrow, but I wonder if the teachers have properly taken precautions?」 (???)

「I definitely want to believe that they have. The Demon Lord is dangerous, so I’m sure that some skilled adventurers have subjugated it.」 (???)

「Still, I don’t think that it will develop into a large-scale war.」 (???)

As that sort of conversation was gaining steam, I opened the sliding door and entered the bath.

The girls washing themselves, the girls submerged in the bathtub, everyone’s gazes turned toward me.

「Oh, Arisa-chan? It’s been a while to meet you here.」 (Nina)

My classmate, Nina, called out. She’s a girl with shortly cut, blonde hair.

She’s right. Since my sister graduated, I’ve always been bathing myself in my room by making a ball of bath water and entering that, as opposed to an actual bath.

Filling a bathtub is physical, not magical, after all. With showers as well, although the principle can be magical, after the water leaves the shower, the laws of physics are applied, then it enters free fall. That’s not magician like at all! With that said, I wanted to bathe fully surrounded by magic.

Of course, today, I was also going to bathe that way, but for some reason, Mao-chan seemed to hate the idea and rejected it. With no other choice, we have come here today.

「Right, that’s true!」 (Arisa)

「Usually you’re boiling like a teakettle in your room, what’s up today?」 (Nina)

「Ehehe, just some stuff」 (Arisa)

「Come to think of it, this morning, you summoned the Demon Lord, right? Are you okay? Nothing happened to you?」 (Nina)

「Yeah, I’m fine.」 (Arisa)

While saying that, another girl entered the bath behind me, whom Nina noticed.

「…Hm, I haven’t seen you before, are you a student here?」 (Nina)

「Her? She’s Mao-chan.」 (Arisa)

「Mao-chan… who?」 (Nina)

「The one that I summoned today.」 (Arisa)

Mao-chan glanced at Nina with lightly vigilant eyes.

「Ah, your familiar, right, the teachers gave permission for familiars to enter the bathes… e, eeeeeh!?」 (Nina)

After falling on her bottom with a thump, Nina backed up. The girls by the bathroom’s entrance also stood in unison, simultaneously taking distance from me.

「T-this person is, Demon Lord?」 (Nina)

「That’s right」 (Arisa)

「D-d-d-doesn’t that mean that’s super dangerous? I thought the teachers had done some countermeasures…」 (Nina)

「Fuu, I’m used to humans hating me.」 (Valgis)

「T-the Demon Lord spoke!!」 (Nina)

「What, am I not allowed to talk?」 (Valgis)

Having stripped down to nothing, Mao-chan’s sheep horns and two tails were cutely emphasized and, how to put it, it’s kind of erotic. I think it’s really erotic.

「Hey, hey, how is it? Naked Mao-chan is cute, right?」 (Arisa)

In response, Nina’s face paled.

「H… hey, the Demon Lord, won’t come attacking?」 (Nina)

「Fuu, don’t worry. If I were to attack, I’d likely end up in a three-day-three-night battle with that one.」 (Valgis)

「Eeh, Mao-chan is kind, you know?」 (Arisa)

「I’m only kind to the demons.」 (Valgis)

With such an exchange, I went over to the empty seats together with Mao-chan, then we began washing.

In that period, it seems that many people left, so, once we were done washing, there were only a few people in the bathtub.

「…Huh, it’s empty. I thought there were more people earlier.」 (Arisa)

「…I’m used to being hated. Don’t you hate me?」 (Valgis)

Mao-chan calmly entered the bath, then looked up to me, floating by the edge of the bathtub.

「If you don’t, then you should give up on me being your familiar and there’s the option to let me return to my former place.」 (Valgis)

「Eh, Mao-chan is leaving? I don’t want that!」 (Arisa)

Entering the bath, I went to hug Mao-chan…

「Hey, no touching my body without permission!」 (Valgis)

This time she escaped. Uuuh. Maybe she’s quick to escape because she’s naked?

「…H-hey, are you okay?」 (Nina)

One of the few left in the bathroom, Nina called out to me.

「Yeah, I’m fine? Mao-chan is cute.」 (Arisa)

「Um, that’s not the issue here…」 (Nina)

In a way as though avoiding Mao-chan, Nina walked over and sat opposite on my left side, opposite to Mao-chan.

「Did the teachers talk to you about the Demon Lord?」 (Nina)

「Yeah, they told me to kill Mao-chan.」 (Arisa)

「As expected… then, what happened?」 (Nina)

「I said that I like Mao-chan and refused! Ehehe」 (Arisa)

「Like, huh.」 (Nina)

「Yeah, like as in ‘love’ rather than ‘like’!」 (Arisa)

Nina tilted her head.

「‘Love’ rather than ‘like’? Eh, between two girls…?」 (Nina)

「Yeah!」 (Arisa)

「You! Stop saying such disgusting words!」 (Valgis)

Mao-chan deeply blushed and shouted. That voice caused the other people to shiver.

「Ah, Mao-chan’s being embarrassed, how cute!」 (Arisa)

「I’m not being embarrassed!」 (Valgis)

「She’s cute, right, Nin-cha…」 (Arisa)

Saying so, I faced Nina, only to find that she had backed up even further.

「What’s wrong, Nina-chan!?」 (Arisa)

「A, angering the Demon Lord, scary…」 (Nina)

「Eh, it’s not all that scary?」 (Arisa)

「I think only Arisa-chan would think that?」 (Nina)

As Nina-chan pointed that out, Mao-chan lightly laughed.

「Well, I’m used to this. Be relieved, I won’t lay a hand on you here.」 (Valgis)

「T-the Demon Lord is talking to meee…」 (Nina)

Nina’s face paled, freezing up like a rock.

「Are you okay, Nina-chan!? Do you feel dizzy?」 (Arisa)

Afterward, in the short period until Nina-chan regained consciousness, I nursed her.

(TL note: Communal baths information

Arisa asks if Nina was dizzy because bathwater is typically very hot, which can cause the blood to rush to a person’s head if they stay in too long.

I’m trying out the name labels and thanks to those that gave their opinions~

I figured that I’d try it out to see how it went, since I don’t tend to translate verbal ticks or dialects… (mainly in Ruri).
